Tift Site

The Tift Site is a historic hazardous site in East Point, GA that is leaking harmful contaminants into the South River. The goal of the initiative is to mobilize community members in the remediation of the Tift Site. So far, CSAW has conducted file reviews at the Environmental Protection Division (EPD), held community information meetings, and walked the Tift Site with community members. We are planning to canvass homes nearby the Tift Site by the end of March 2025. The goal is to let residents know about the Tift Site, gather any information they might have, and give them a chance to participate in remediation.
